Beth Glass, Pastor:
Pastor Beth grew up in the United Methodist churches that her father served as a pastor. Although she felt a call (or a “God nudge”) to ministry by the time she was in junior high school, she resisted that sense for years. With no intention of becoming a pastor, she graduated from Dickinson College (Carlisle, PA) and worked in Human Resources for several years at a large financial corporation. However, eventually, the “God nudge” became so strong that she gave into it and began to serve as a pastor. She graduated from Wesley Theological Seminary (Washington, DC) and has been serving congregations throughout the country for over twenty years. Pastor Beth and her family are excited to be at Morrisville. Beth is married to Mike, who is retired from the United States Marine Corps as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Officer. Together, they have five sons, three daughters-in-law and eight grandchildren.
Ruth Walker, Administrative Assistant:

Sarah Newton, Pianist, Education Team Lead:
Church and music have always been part of Sarah’s life. She grew up attending Salem UMC in Maryland most of her life and started playing piano when she was 8 years old. Combining her love of music and her family’s dedication to the church community, Sarah came to understand her calling as church musician. After moving to Virginia, she started at Morrisville UMC as the pianist in December 2007. In the last 15 years what started as a mere “job” has become a ministry of the heart for Sarah. She strives to provide a connectional and meaningful worship experience by incorporating a variety of hymns, solos, choral, and instrumental pieces of music into the weekly services.
Sarah is also our Educational Team Leader. She leads several small groups and supports other education groups within our church. She understands the benefits to small group learning either for adults, youth or children. Coming from a family of educators, she knows the value of the adage ” you are never too old to learn something new.”
Jenn Robinson-O’Brien, Music Leader & Certified Lay Minister:
Jenn has never known a time when she wasn’t active in her local church. Although reared in the Catholic faith, she joined the Methodist church in 1998 where she quickly immersed herself in music ministries. She worked with the youth through both music and drama ministries, as well as serving in a variety of roles within her church. When Jenn transferred to Morrisville, she re-started the youth choir and renamed it “One in Christ” in honor of Royce Hart. When asked to step up and direct the adult choir, she said yes. From there, it was just a matter of time before she was fully immersed in the church through the music ministries.
Jenn is a Certified Lay Speaker and is studying to be a Certified Lay Minister. She is the District Director of Lay Servant Ministries. She serves Morrisville as the Music Director, as well as the Member to Annual Conference.
Rob Lester, Lay Leader:
Rob is the all-around fix-it man. As a member of the Trustees, he keeps a watchful eye on church projects such as the new Pavilion, firewood ministry, special projects and organizes workdays to spruce up the church.
