The story of Jospeh reminds us that when God seems silent, it is still important to make choices that will be pleasing to God.
In the story of Joseph, God often seems silent-- there is no voice from a burning bush, or calling from a flash of light in the sky. But even when God seems silent, God is NOT absent!
Sometimes we feel like we don't have enough to meet the need in front of us-- but God can make a great deal out of next to nothing!
Sometimes the signs of the Kingdom of God are not readily apparent, and we need to seek out those "Hidden Treasures."
We cannot always tell the difference between wheat and weeds-- which may be why Jesus suggests that we should let the "weeds" be and concentrate on growing good wheat.
